Bangkok - Ayutthaya - Lop Buri - Phitsanulok
The drive from Bangkok takes you to Bang Pa In Summer Palace where your classic journey begins with a scenic boat trip to Ayutthaya. Visit Chaya Mongkol Temple and the ancient ruins of Chai Wattanaram Temple. Continuing to Lop Buri, you'll see the city in pedalled rickshaws. Overnight in Phisanulok. (L) |

Phisamulok - Sukhothai - Lampang
Visit Maha That Temple and its highly revered Buddha statue. Then drive to Sukhothai where you'll visit the ancient ruins at Sukhothai Historical Park and Sri Chum Temple. After lunch at Sri Satchanalai, you will arrive in Lampang where you will tour the old city on horse carriages. Another stopover is Baan Sao Nat, a 100-year-old teak-wood mansion. You'll visit Chedi Sao Temple, where monks prepare medicines from herbs and plants. (Breakfast, Lunch) |

Lampang - Payao - Chiang Rai
A brief visit to the morning market precedes your drive to Payao with the biggest natural lake in Thailand. By lunch you'll arrive in Chiang Rai, where you'll visit the hilltribe community project at Baan Lorcha. A drive to Mae Sai, the northernmost Thai town in the Golden Triangle, brings your classic journey to the borders where Thailand, Laos and Myanmar converge. After a boat trip on the Mekong River you'll drive to Chiang Rai. (Breakfast, Lunch) |

Chiang Rai - Chiang Mai
Travelling to Chiang Mai in the morning, you'll visit the local handicraft centres around the city. After lunch, you'll tour Doi Suthep Temple, a famous landmark, tucked away in the mountains at an elevation of 1,056 metres. (Breakfast, Lunch) |

Chiang Mai - Bangkok
Visit an elephant camp in Chiang Dao and watch the skilled animals at work. Then visit an orchid farm. In the afternoon visit a famous Thai wood carving factory before transfer to Chiang Mai Airport for your flight back to Bangkok and transfer to your hotel. (Breakfast, Lunch) |
