About Thai Airways International

Thai Airways International Public Company Limited, founded in 1960, is the national carrier of the Kingdom of Thailand. It operates domestic, regional and intercontinental flights radiating from its home base in Bangkok to key destinations around the world and within Thailand. One of the leading airlines of Asia, Thai is renowned for its elegance, comfort, range of entertainment and cuisine. Established in 1960, its hub is at Bangkok 'the crossroads of Asia', serving 11 destinations domestic destinations and 60 international destinations in 30 countries excluding Bangkok. Thai offers daily midday services with an extra 4 evening flights on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from London Heathrow. From October 2003, Thai will be operating its fifth evening flight on Tuesday.

Thai Airways economy class

Thai Airways gives Economy Class travelers just as much attention as its Royal First and Royal Silk travelers when it comes to comfort and satisfaction. With so many features designed to provide the maximum in comfort and privacy, Thai Airways have the finest aircraft seats available today for this class, with the optimum pitch available on intercontinental flights of 34 inches, one of the highest in the industry.

In terms of entertainment, passengers can view movies, air show and landscape camera view on the video screens that are located overhead or on the wall.

Special care and attention is given to creating varied and delicious meals, with a selection of complimentary premium wines. For passengers with particular dietary or religious preferences, varied choices of special meals are can be ordered in advance through our reservations department. We take our young traveler's well being very seriously, so infant and child meals can also be pre-ordered.

Thai Airways Royal Executive class

Ten years in the planning and first introduced during May on the airline's brand new Airbus A340-500 jets, THAI Royal Silk Class is a promise of perfection in every aspect of service.

Customers have exclusive check-in counters and fast-track immigration clearance through the Thai luxurious airport lounges, providing every facility for relaxation, refreshment and work. At London Heathrow's Terminal Three, Thai's Royal Silk passengers are invited to the contemporary London Lounge in area B. Facilities include internet access, showers, light refreshments and child entertainment areas.

With so many features designed to provide the maximum in comfort and privacy, Thai Airways have the finest aircraft seats available today for this exclusive class. They have up to 167 o of recline and an increased seat pitch of 60 inches, due to the removal of ten seats in the cabin. The new Royal Silk class seats are set only two abreast in 747 400 Series aircraft, with an adjustable privacy screen, while the Audio Video on Demand (AVOD) system offers an almost unlimited choice of entertainment, information and games. The latest hi-tech entertainment system includes large format, touch control 10.4" LCD screens offering a wide range of channels, including sky map progress chart and exterior cameras offering the views of the ground on take-off and landing. Each seat is equipped with a personal telephone and power outlet for laptop computer or personal music player. Thai's famed in flight service has been greatly upgraded for Royal Silk guests, our world renowned cabin staff attending to every need.

Passengers in this exclusive class will also receive and lavish amenity kits. These in-flight products are world class brand names including 'Biotherm' and 'Dupont' brands.

The Royal Silk cuisine, features the best of Thai, Asian and international cuisine, plus the finest wines, spirits and liqueurs. The bar remains open throughout the flight for passengers to serve themselves if desired, although the crew would be delighted to assist.

Thai Airways Royal First class

Before boarding, passengers also benefit from dedicated check-in, additional baggage allowance, priority bag handling and access to lounges. International passengers in Bangkok receive complimentary transfers by limousine from their home, hotel or office, to the airport however this must be booked in advance with our reservations.

The ultimate First Class in-flight comfort has arrived with the launch of Thai's latest innovative seating. It provides customers with 180o of recline, converting into the most comfortable of beds. One of the key features of these state-of-the-art seats is the legroom, providing almost seven feet of space in which to stretch out. Complimentary nightwear adds to the luxurious atmosphere. Passengers in this class can enjoy world-class brand name in-flight products. These include 'Elle' and 'Guy Laroche' for various style and colours of PJ's as well as the brands 'Hermes' and 'Bvlgari'.

First Class is equipped with LCD screens at the back of each seat. Passengers can select a choice of 30 movies, 110 music albums and 31 games. Each seat is equipped with integrated passenger control and telephone/computer access. Passengers are able to make phone calls from their own seats by swiping a credit card on the handset. PC Power outlet 115VAC are available only in First and Royal Silk Class.

Caviar, Champagne and award winning vintage wines set the stage for a truly memorable experience. Main courses from the extensive International and Thai menu can be ordered up to 72 hours in advance through our reservations. This service is exclusive to our First Class passengers or most intercontinental routes.
